My iPhone tried to commit suicide three hours into my fourteen hour (1000mi) road trip. I managed to bring it back from the dead. Sorta. I can, weirdly (with some effort), still make phone calls. But every other feature and app is completely f… not functional.
So I hauled out my DSLR and tried to take some photos while I drove to pass the time. Well… first I had to figure out how to turn it on.
Mostly I took pictures of clouds. Because… well… its surprisingly challenging to look through the view-finder-thingy (I’m sure this has a more technical term) while driving… and not die.
And also, while the last four hours of this trip are really pretty, it had gotten dark by the then…
Thats not to say the Karoo isn’t pretty, it really is… But clouds was what was available to me with my limited ability.
Its a three hour round trip to the nearest iStore from here. I’m thinking it might be nice not to have a phone for a month. You know… prove to myself that I don’t need it… ha ha… yeah, let’s see how that work out for me.
