Go Darke

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it

I have been a bit remiss with this of late. Wasn’t really feeling it.

Well the kids definitely are. Although they get that from their mother… thankfully. 😀

But thank you for the kind words.

Really? Are you really going to consider taking your brood and leaving this idyll?

Yeah… mankind is always disastified with what he has. And the grass is always greener on the otherside of the river.

But mostly I just don’t want to be murdered. Lets take your homeland… on average you have about 1.7 murders per day. We have 65. We smash your annual homicide rate in a week and a half.

We are also #1 in the world for rape. Its not somewhere you want to raise girl children despite the scenery.

Oh right. Sigh. Humanity is broken. Forgot about that. Well, if it’s a little less broken here, then you’re welcome here!

Come to Alaska. We have bears. And fish. And cannabis. Oh and I do believe our murder rate is like pretty damn low. I think. I dunno. We ARE pretty big into mind-your-own-business and right-to-carry… so there’s that.

I like your posts. They are a highlight for me.

Alaska looks amazing. And it has all the things I love. Unfortunately trying to immigrate to the states legally, is really f’ing hard.

Unless you have a company sponsoring you… its almost impossible. Or have a imperial-fuck-tonne of money… thats the other possibility. Otherwise you’re kinda stuck in the green card gamble. Which is a really odd system in my opinion. Ha.

I’m glad you like my posts. Where have you been lately? You’ve been quiet.

I had no idea it was hard to immigrate here! I had a good friend who came here from New Zealand and she’s been here for almost thirty years now. She has her green card and has been married here for about 15 of those years. I don’t know…

You noticed I was quiet on here?? I didn’t figure anyone noticed lol

Yeah, I think it used to be a lot easier in the 80’s and 90’s… (as far as I understand). There’s a lot of politics surrounding foreigners taking jobs etc. It is what it is.

I definitely notice. You are like a daily staple on my feed… I don’t follow many people, so I definitely notice your absence.

        Are you okay?

I didn’t think about that. Yeah, I think you’re right, it probably was easier then… so, what does it take, like for real? I have only seriously looked into immigration once and that was in 2008-9, I was serious about immigrating to New Zealand. Long and short of it was, I was married at the time and he wasn’t interested in immigrating… I gave it some deep thought for a few weeks and decided to stay in the US with him. 🤷🏼‍♀️
